LOVE GOD.
LOVE PEOPLE.
Matthew 22:37-40
Creekside LOVES GOD by responding to the love that God has first lavished on us through the free gift of forgiveness of sins and eternal life in Jesus Christ alone. We desire as believers to grow into a spiritually mature relationship with Him that each may be rooted and built up in him, established in the faith. MT 22:37-38
Creekside LOVES PEOPLE by channeling BIBLICAL love and truth to others, by living lives of prayer, purity and purpose, and by intentionally sharing the good news of Jesus through personal evangelism and discipleship to all whom God by divine appointment brings forth. MT 22:39
“On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”
Matthew 22:40
BIBLICAL VALUES:
Calvary Creekside desires to honor, teach and practice these Biblical values in collaboration with the Kingdom values of Jesus as articulated in this passage: Matthew 22:37-40.
- The teaching of God’s Word in a verse-by-verse, expositional manner as well as the preaching of the prophetic heart of God in his Word (2 Timothy 4:2).
- Pursuing God every day in prayer and seeking to abide in Christ by the empowerment and fruit of the Holy Spirit (John 15:5; Galatians 5:22-23).
- Yielding to His service while seeking the good works that He has prepared in advance for His people to walk in (Ephesians 2:10).
- Worship as a pivotal aspect of the believer that should be expressed in spirit and in truth not only in music and song but in the daily aspects of life (Psalm 99:9).
- Evangelism as the privilege and responsibility of all believers in fulfilling the Great Commission by sharing their faith and testimony with all whom God grants the opportunity (Matthew 28:18-20). Missions as an extension of evangelism provides the opportunity to spread the gospel to the specific places at home and abroad that God directs with an added priority on disaster relief and emergency preparedness (Acts 26:16-18; Luke 10:25-37; Proverbs 22:3).
- Regular fellowship at Creekside services, ministry meetings, and small groups is essential to foster meaningful relationships and deep spiritual connection as we use our various spiritual gifts in service of one another (Hebrews 10:24-25; 1 Peter 4:10).
- Servant Leadership as the style of leadership venerated in the scriptures and modelled by Jesus to which all leaders of Creekside are expected to make every effort to adhere to (Mark 10:43-35).
